Mango Tree Bistro (Thai Cuisine)

   Life is sometimes goods if you are diligent enough to find it and the P2500 GC of Mango Tree Bistro which I won from Breakfast magazine was one of them.  Therefore if you have nothing to do at home try looking at facebook there are many freebies to be won

                        
The Fascade of Mango Tree Bistro at 3/fl. Trinoma , EDSA Quezon City which serve Thai Cuisine and this place at Trinoma is their first branch.

                       

they even have a sitting area for the guest during lunch and dinner hour when the dinning area is pack so you do not have to stand up and wait.

                    

                      

This is their center pieces when no guest are seated which they eventually remove. Don't know what the purpose of it and why it was remove but on my next 2 visit it was no longer put on display.

Pia Meuk Thod which is Deep Fry Squid Ring with Sweet Chili sauce. Price: P280.00/ order actually great for sharing for 3 people. Really thin slice of Squid ring then when you cut it into pieces have no difficulty in doing so. Until other fried Calamares when you cut into the squid you will have difficulty or all the squid ring will come out of the coating. Really crispy.
                       
                       
 Khaopad Gai or Stir Fried Rice with Chicken. Price is at P380.00 for large and P250.00 for small; which we order the large size. Stir fried chicken are place on the side with garnished of tomato and cucumber. The rice is stir fried with corn, carrots and green onion. Most fried rice cook here wherein the protein or meat is combine directly with the rice and veggies but this one is definitely unique. The rice is also great for sharing for 3-4 people

 Khapphad Tom Yum Goong Price : P280.00 It a fried rice with shrimp good for 2 person. Seem like Thai people like to put lime in their food as base by picture above a below

Pad Thai Joy (rice noodle with fried Tofu) price P320.00 with uncook bean sprout (at lease they should have pan boil them) and chops peanut. This one not bad with the softness of the rice noodle adding the crunch of the peanut.

Picture above is Yum Pla Duk Foo which is fried cat fish served with Green Mango price P320.00 My kids where looking for the fish but it seem at everything there is shredded cat fish almost like the floss.

 Bangkok style Buffalo Wing price P280. a bit expensive since there's nothing different about their buffalo Wing with other Buffalo wings I tasted.

 

Thod Mun Gory is Deep Fried Shrimp cakes served with Sweet Chili Sauce price P350.00. Actually there should be 5 pieces of it my son was hungry before I can get a picture of it

Mango Tree Bistro Satay which you can choose from Gai (chicken) price : P300; Moo (pork) P300 and Nua (beef) P350.00 serve with a dipping sauce of cucumber & peanut (actually did not see any peanut maybe they use some peanut oil

And lastly for dessert Sakoo Nam Kati which is sago with young coconut meat topped with coconut cream price P180.00.  I should have taken a picture of the inside wherein there is no sago but instead corn kernel found at the bottom. But still delicious.

The Strand Breakfast Buffet

Since I got a free stacation at One Pacific Place Service Residence it also include a breakfast buffet for 2 at The Strand. Breakfast start from 6am-10am. Thanks to Miss Kathy Kenny raffle

   The table set up using filipino product as place mat. (picture below)

They have also different wine on display near the entrance to the dining area.

To those who are curious what is being serve in The Strand Breakfast buffet.

              

The different bread: bread roll and the pan american with 2 different jams to choose from and in front are cubes of frozen butter.  The next picture are the cold cuts and some cheese.

              

The picture on the left are the plain rice and garlic rice.  The picture on the right are the french toast with some fried bacon and next to it are scramble egg.

               

Picture on the left is the Mac and cheese along side of it is the Dangits. The picture on the right is the Filipino Tocino at first I thought it was sweet ham because if was cut in thick cube slices while along side of it are the native longaniza.

 There is also cereal while on the center is the fresh milk either you want to just drink it or add it to your cereal. You can also choose whether you want orange or mango juice

   This are the condiments for the congee: shredded chicken, green onion, chili oil and some fried garlic.

  The Dessert area with different pastries and some fruits which consist of pineapple and watermelon.

      They also have a Lunch Buffet which start from 10am-12pm and a dinner buffet at a price of P800.00.

My stay at One Pacific Place Service Residence

I was lucky that my name was pick  by One Pacific Place Service Residence in Life is Kulayful contest and below is the GC to prove it that sometimes you can enjoy life with paying some extra. Make a schedule to use it on November 10-11 with my son

  It so happen my maid was on leave to attend to her grandfather who is about to die and find this opportunity to relax with all the housework.

  The lobby on One Pacific Place Service Residence the check in time is 2:00 pm and check out time is 12pm. The lobby is well lid and spacious 

        

The picture on  you left is the hallway leading to 4 elevator entrance.  The picture on the right really very intriguing; almost every building don't put the no. 13 but no. 14.  My daughter just send me an explanation and it's the number 4. If you're chinese you know that 4 in chinese mean death; therefore she show that there was also no number 34. Maybe 24 was not there too. 

The studio type has 2 option 1 Queen size bed or 2 single bed; since I'm going to stay there with my youngest son I opt for the 2 single bed.

 The amenities in the kitchen 2 water bottle and 2 set of coffee mixes good for 2 people. There some soda drink at the mini refrigerator so no need to take a picture of it.

   This is the first time that I know of a 3 star Hotel that offered individual safe deposit box in each of the room.

   Since there is a breakfast buffet included in the GC at the Strand continue reading it if you plan to stay at One Pacific Place Service Residence.  The only thing is that they are very far from the shopping center. I think they mostly cater to the business people who caught in the middle of the night and want a place to stay and relax.

Estee Lauder Perfectionist (Wrinkle Lifting and Firming Serum)

    I was lucky to sign up with Estee Lauder new products "The Perfectionist" at Facebook. Below is the sample which they say is good for 10 days. At least this one is much bigger than their last sample which are  in sachet. Rustan's branded cosmetics do gives sample for their client to test so that you don't need to buy expensive big bottle that might not be compatible to  your skin.

   Below is the actual content and there's a hint of perfume that make it smell good. The Instruction for this product is to put it before applying the moisturizer. Actually I love the outcome of their product after applying it your face it will feel so velvety smooth as if you put on some powder and there's no greasy feeling. Love to touch my face that I don't wanted to add the moisturizer after it but have to to lessen the wrinkle on my face.

   Even if your skin does not show any sign of wrinkle it's better to start using their product so that the early sign of wrinkle will be prevented. Just use it less than a week and hoping that Estee Lauder Perfectionist will firm my some my sagging skin.

Smiley's unlimited waffle, wings,rice and Tea

Saw a discount voucher of Smiley Unlimited Wings and Waffle so decided to buy 1 at P499 good for 2 people and decided to used it to know if it's worth every pesos I paid for.

Smiley's is located at the 2/Level of SM North EDSA Skygarden. We weree there at 11 am but advice to come back at 12pm since the chicken has not been thaw yet. The place is divided into 2 part: This part is where the kitchen is located and has no air conditioning

This is their dining room area which has a choice of inside or outside sitting. Better to have the inside sitting since the outside sitting area is the main walkway of the skygarden and there is a chance people might bump into you if there are show at the Sky dome.

The unlimited chicken wing which has an option of different topping like Smoke Barbeque (mild spicy), Teriyaki, regular fried chicken, lemon pepper, Cajun (spicy), and soy garlic.

 
The other food Smiley is offering their guest dessert and Milk shakes

My voucher is unlimited wings, ice tea, rice and waffle for 2 at P499.00. And this is my order of Teriyaki Chicken. The chicken was not fully coated with the teriyaki sauce so decide to try another variant. And my next order was Lemon Pepper just like regular fried chicken but  with sprinkling of lemon powder since I can smell the lemon.

My son order the smoke Barbeque which was fully coated with the sauce and a bit spice. My son got to order this twice. And he did try the soy garlic variant which just like the teriyaki is not fully coated with the sauce. Actually this one is not the best.

The spoon and fork plus the tissue paper. A bit crowded for 2 people in this round table.

my banana and caramel waffle. Actually good with mash banana inside and a topping of caramel sauce.

My son Choco chip with chocolate syrup waffle.
We both never make additional order for the waffle since the rice is already heavy and we have to really try to get the chicken wing more.



On your repeat order you can just order the wings if you/re after the cost you pay for the voucher. I can say that Smiley Unlimited Waffles and Wing is worth it if they offer the discount voucher again, the only thing that will let you down is your stomach. Too bad my stomach failed me so was not able to try all their buffalo wing flavors including their other waffle flavor
