Best Food Forward year 3

This is my second time to visit Best Food Forward and there are new and old concessionaire exhibiting their food.

The ticket to Best Food Forward and thanks to Gastro Chef for the free ticket. Below is what will greet you upon entering NBC tent

Carlos Crispy Liempo:

A regular to the event. The liempo are really crispy and delicious.

A newbie in the business like to try it but have eaten too many food. They said they are the best hotdog from USA.

KEWPIE:
Sale japanese salad dressing and if you brought 2 bottle they will give you a kewpie doll, which I'm not interested. Below I brought the Roasted Sesame dressing which is almost identical to the salad dressing of Yabu.

 Blue Torque:

Blue Torque   pastries above and the challeges below they give to anyone dare to eat. My son saw the pastries for the challenge. We were able to catch a foreigner who's up to it and was able to win. Only thing is there will be no water to drink while taking the challenge. Hope this challenge is also applicable in their store also.

   The Bumble Tea :

Wintermelon tea at P60.00 and the blue Lemonade at P35.00. I think the best seller on that day are the cold drinks really so hot especially outside the NBC tent.

Empire Steak:

Empire Steak above and the flyer they're distributing around. So my daughter try their Boneless Angus Beef at P199.

The Sinangag trip

Fried Garlic Rice with different topping to choose.

Eat My GF (Garlic Fries)

beside it is their ultimate burger which cost around P200 with bacon, fries, burger and egg. Maybe they should also make a challenge for this

The food stall below has no name but while looking I overheard 1 of the guy said that they are looking for a store in makati

                                       Grill Corn

                                           Grill Burger

And the final outcome of the burger with cheese and fries

Alfredo Pizza and pasta:

Brought their chicago deep dish all meat lover but was not the original Chicago deep dish because very few filling inside they made it with stuffing in between with thin layer of pepperoni, salami etc. So thinking that a price of P170 is cheap but it isn't for 1 big slice which is mostly carb.

The Rice Pots:
Also a regular at Best food forward brought the barbecue rice with Lemon chicken at a price of P149.00

C2 Classic Cuisine introduces New dishes

I was lucky to attend the C2 Classic Cuisine introduction of their New Dishes at Robinson Place Manila.  A bit noisy during those time because there was also a cosplay and a toy bidding at the lobby.

The Guest List at Robinson Place Manila was pack while I heard that C2 Classic Cuisine at Megamall has only 4 pair of guest present as told by my sister.

While waiting for the other guest to arrive they serve as some appetizer of peanut, kornick and green peas.

The regular dipping sauce of soy sauce, patis and black pepper.

At the left side is C2 version of Guinoumis which is compose of sago 't gulaman, rice krispies, milk, ice and the panucha at the bottom of the glass. On the right is their buko pandan

Gradually they bring out the rice but did not mention what type of rice the picture above but there's also a choic of plain rice to go with their new dishes

While the waiter is serving the sinigang I immediately took the picture since some of the food are being serve directly to their guest without explaining if this is what the actually serving of the new dish. On the side is the chicken Inasal and some roast eggplant.

C2 version of Laing using spinach which actually nice with a topping of crispy chicharon . Great version for those who fear using camote leaves. This was my first time to eat this time of Laing. I recommend those eating at C2 to try this.

Base on the Manager explanantion this one is try beef rib with steam eggplant and sitaw. Not sure if the vegetable is cook with the sinigang.

This one is also the best Sizzling Bulalo steak. The bulao was really tender and the sauce accompany it was nice with corn and pechay as side dish.

The Chicken Inasal, just hope there was a dipping sauce for this and it will be much better

My first try of gising gising with crispy pakbet (I think). Just like the ginataan gulay yummy. In my opinion what make the gata sauce yellow is maybe because of the tumeric or the yellow ginger.

The tinapa embutido not bad actually with the sweet chili sauce. Some of the guest infront of me was not able to get their portion of this because the waiter are so busy that they can't remember who they have already serve.

The suma with panna cotta. Since it's all white you might not differentiate it. They did not explain what the sauce on top of it. Actually good but a bit dry just hope that the panna cotta is a much thicker since it was just spread thinly but their was also some rice krispies to add some crunch in it.

In my opinion I hope C2 Classic could have make a better explanation of their dish by first showing the actual serving of the dish so that some of the food blogger can get a better picture of it like the sinigang is it serve with the chicken inasal / or fried beef ribs. Some were serve on their actual presentation

P.F. Chang at Bonifacio High Street

I was able to win P1,500 GC's from a blogger and advice me to pick the said voucher at P.F. Chang at Bonifacio branch.

Since I am already at  Bonifacio Global City might as well buy some food for take out.  Upon arriving at 30th and 9th Avenue of Bonifacio High Street 2 giant terra cotta like horse guarding the entrance will be seen.

And near the staircase going to the 2nd floor you will also notice the warrior suit worn in the ancient era on china include a warrior.  Nice display.

The bar section of P.F. Chang again you will notice that their interior focuses on Chang/Tang Dynasty Era. Almost every bit of the interior are made of wood including the post.

The stairway going to the second floor which obviously was well plan and has a fusion of modern lightning and old inspire design. Overall the interior were well plan and sticking to the Chang/ Tang Dynasty Era.

They even uses the finest silverware for their guest.

Chicken in Black Bean sauce : P350.00

Looks boring , no wonder they don't put a picture for this. Actually has to remake their dish because no one even touch both dishes

The remake of P.F. Chang Chicken with Black Bean sauce which my family did consume by adding button mushroom and some spring onion. I think they should add a little veggie on that

Beef ala Sichuan stye : P410.00 good for 2

The beef strips were overcook that it felt too dry even with the sauce. There are too plenty of veggies in it like carrot, leeks, onion and the banana blossom and it's not even spicy. Also no picture in the menu.

Overall the ambiance is great but for the 2 take it sucks nothing unusual with the food the price is expensive. Maybe food at Chinatown or Binondo is much better since they stick to good old chinese recipe

Family Day at Sta. Elena Farm

My grand daughter pre-school has a family day happening at Sta. Elena Farm  which is located near the exit point of Cabuyao, Laguna South Super Highway and the place was really back to nature . Upon entering this is the first thing we saw.the ZIP Line  Good for kids around 7-10 who can follow instruction and hold on to the rope since there is no harness to strap them; only a round board to sit or stand in it while holding on to the rope

Below and nipa hut and a swing for the kids to enjoy while waiting for other parents and kids to arrive. No school bus so every kids and parent came in their own car.

The was area cute very native.

Below the Gazebo for indoor dinning which also have fun inside

And also an outside dinning area.

The pond for a boat ride where you can also see some duck .

There is also horseback riding but there was line forming where kids are eager to ride a a real horse.

We're lucky enough that we are the first one to ride the carabao kart and the road it take was really bumpy so we have to hold on to the kids.

My grand daughter giving a baby rabbit a carrot. Have to put her on the table because the bigger rabbit are surrounding her for food.  There was also some guinea pig in another pen but you know kids love rabbit than guinea pig

Sta. Elena Black pig all sleeping in mid morning and beside was also the horse stable

Overall the place is great for kid to learn about the farm and what animals are being raise there.
