RUB rib & Bbq

Rub ribs and BBQ a small quaint little place hidden at Scout Rallos if you didn't ask their actual location you would not find it since the number on the street a bit out of place

The exterior of Rub at Scout Rallos.

The second floor dinning area with veranda which I think is for smoker.

The first floor counter and kitchen a bit small actually for a restaurant.

The second floor dinning area  where there are only 4 set of table for 4 people sitting and 2 set of table for couples

In case you're bringing kids along just be careful that they don't play along this railing.

                                                       The menu board

Rub house blend ice Tea - P110 good for 4 people

There ice Tea has a nice blend of calamansi flavor in it.

Duo rib - P205 good for 2 people

It consist of 2 side dish of coleslaw and grill butter corn and the dipping sauce good for 2 people

                                   Chicken Cajun Pasta - P200

When you mention Cajun it's a bit spicy since my daughter always order Cajun rice from another restaurant but this one is just right without any spice with strip of grill chicken and the pasta sauce really creamy

                               Buffalo Chicken sandwich - P190

Fried crumble chicken fillet with lettuce and tomato with coleslaw and french fries. I think it's better that they made it into 1 pattie so that the chicken will not fall off after every bites

                                Buffalo Chicken Wings   -  P255.00

Super Crispy Chicken Wing with a cheese dipping sauce. Don't know if they forgot to put the spicy sauce on the chicken as it come out just plain fried chicken wing

Yabu: House of Katsu at Robinson Magnollia

I was lucky to be chosen by Yabu to try their new dish the soft shell crab and was curious about the food since Soft shell crab is not readily available in our local market.

Yabu at Robinson Magnolia, the place is a bit smaller than their1st branch at megamall.

The same japanese cup inspire pattern.

The different condiment to add to you katsu.

The instructional manual in how to grind the sesame seed and adding the sauce for  your dip.

Actually my second time to eat at Yabu and this is the first time that they offer wet towel to their guest.

                                    Soft Shell Crab - P480.00

Which include rice, miso soup pickle vegetable, shredded cabbage, fruits (2 slices ofwatermelon and pineapple) and the dipping sauce.

My first impression of the soft shell crab is the upper top of the crab that is soft but never thought that the legs, claw and the interior of the crab are also that soft that you just have to eat it directly without the having to crack the shell anymore. Have to give this prize to my son who so love to eat crab that every crook and cranny of the shell crab he really cleans it out.

                                       Chicken Katsu : P195

It include a breast of chicken katsu, potato croquette, shredded cabbage, japanese rice, edamame, fruits (pineapple and watermelon) and 2 dipping sauce.

All of Yabu's katsu are super delicious and crispy no wonder people kept coming back for more including me and don't mind the long line just to eat at Yabu's.

I also want to thank Miss Sol (resident Manager) and her assistant for making us feel at home at Yabu. That she really went from table to table asking her guest if they enjoy their meal. This kind of gesture is hardly visible now a days but they really make an effort even when the guest are started to pour in. No wonder that it's always full at Yabu not only are the food wonderful even their personnel are courteous.

Nomama Artisan Ramen Dessert Platter

I was lucky to be chosen by Nomama in their twitter contest to avail of the free Dessert Platter.

Nomama exterior fascade. The place is easy to find just a few steps from Roces Ave., and a blog away from Tomas Morato

Who would think of  using their store name as Christmas decoration? Lovely isn't it?

Using toy plane as decoration realy nice to draw some attention to those who bring their kids along.

There Utensil box with a small Christmas Tree on the side. Lovely.

The oval shape iss actually a plate, the only thing is if I have zoom it closer there are scratches in the plate and only melaware plate can get scratches.  Since the place well interior at least they made an effort in using china for the serving plate. The bowl are all in china except this one.

A sample of Nomama menu list this Christmas. A bit expensive especially for the Ramen.

Above and below is the dessert platter.good for 4 person. Above is the buttermilk biscuit with fresh strawberry with a sprinkle of sugar on top and Yazu cream (there is also another option of white chocolate with Wasabi)  and the pink stick is a pretzel stick dip in pink chocolate

The 4 cups are panacota with slice os Lychees and next is the chocolate cake in my opinion this is a flourless chocolate cake dirzzle with caramel sauce .as you bit into the cake it really melts in your mouth just as if you're eating just chocolate bar. The Turones with slices of saba and some nut topping not sure if it's chocnut or any other nut spread but delicious.

Mango Tree Bistro (Thai Cuisine)

Life is sometimes goods if you are diligent enough to find it and the P2500 GC of Mango Tree Bistro which I won from Breakfast magazine was one of them.  Therefore if you have nothing to do at home try looking at facebook there are many freebies to be won

The Fascade of Mango Tree Bistro at 3/fl. Trinoma , EDSA Quezon City which serve Thai Cuisine and this place at Trinoma is their first branch.

they even have a sitting area for the guest during lunch and dinner hour when the dinning area is pack so you do not have to stand up and wait.

This is their center pieces when no guest are seated which they eventually remove. Don't know what the purpose of it and why it was remove but on my next 2 visit it was no longer put on display.

the Interior of Mango Tree. Base on my son-in-law who design the place he have to go to Thailand to see the original setting of the Mango Tree Bistro.Below food picture are compilation of my 3 days (not continuous of course) in trying their foods.

                        Great!

Pia Meuk Thod which is Deep Fry Squid Ring with Sweet Chili sauce. Price: P280.00/ order actually great for sharing for 3 people. Really thin slice of Squid ring then when you cut it into pieces have no difficulty in doing so. Until other fried Calamares when you cut into the squid you will have difficulty or all the squid ring will come out of the coating. Really crispy.

                        Great!
Khaopad Gai or Stir Fried Rice with Chicken. Price is at P380.00 for large and P250.00 for small; which we order the large size. Stir fried chicken are place on the side with garnished of tomato and cucumber. The rice is stir fried with corn, carrots and green onion. Most fried rice cook here wherein the protein or meat is combine directly with the rice and veggies but this one is definitely unique. The rice is also great for sharing for 3-4 people

Khapphad Tom Yum Goong Price : P280.00 It a fried rice with shrimp good for 2 person. Seem like Thai people like to put lime in their food as base by picture above a below

Pad Thai Joy (rice noodle with fried Tofu) price P320.00 with uncook bean sprout (at lease they should have pan boil them) and chops peanut. This one not bad with the softness of the rice noodle adding the crunch of the peanut.

Picture above is Yum Pla Duk Foo which is fried cat fish served with Green Mango price P320.00 My kids where looking for the fish but it seem at everything there is shredded cat fish almost like the floss.

Bangkok style Buffalo Wing price P280. a bit expensive since there's nothing different about their buffalo Wing with other Buffalo wings I tasted.

Thod Mun Gory is Deep Fried Shrimp cakes served with Sweet Chili Sauce price P350.00. Actually there should be 5 pieces of it my son was hungry before I can get a picture of it

Mango Tree Bistro Satay which you can choose from Gai (chicken) price : P300; Moo (pork) P300 and Nua (beef) P350.00 serve with a dipping sauce of cucumber & peanut (actually did not see any peanut maybe they use some peanut oil

And lastly for dessert Sakoo Nam Kati which is sago with young coconut meat topped with coconut cream price P180.00.  I should have taken a picture of the inside wherein there is no sago but instead corn kernel found at the bottom. But still delicious.
