Organic Food at Earth Kitchen

Since Katipunan Avenue at White plain was never in my food route so never even heard about it only after  my son luckily won from Pepper.ph a P1000 worth of food so my son decide that me and his sister try out the place since she has the time and the car to commute there.

Below is the front entrance of the restaurant which is actually a revolving door. While above is their signage really full of greenery inside and out

Below is a nice use of native products including the painting by local artist.

Nice use of plant around the restaurant as a natural deodorizer as they produce clean oxygen. Above and below picture. All their post has plant growing upward

The restroom outside or backyard and you can see on the side a tall nipa hut cannot say it's a tree house since it's not build on a tree. This one is nice on a cool evening night for a big guest who want to be away from the other crowd.

A cute table setting for napkin with a small cactus plant

Since there are 2 option for the soup we tried the Fresh Mushroom soup which is just good for 1 person. They made it from different type mushroom but the most taste that is overpowering is the Shitake . While those who been use with can mushroom soup they might not quite like the taste. They even put a little splash of oil not sure what type but they are trying to make it like the Italian who put oil in their soup. The price is a bit expensive at P180 but at least you know it's really fresh

Fresh Mushroom Soup

Fresh Mushroom Ravioli
Again the Fresh mushroom Ravioli that same mushroom button mushroom, milky, oyster and shitake with goat cheese. The filling is a melt in your mouth as when you slice it there is no chunk of mushroom but the consistence is like a mushroom mouse. Price : P170 which is reasonable enough.

Beef Kebab
The Beef Kebab is so super Tender that my grand daughter love it so much.  The waiter did not ask if we prefer it with flour tortilla or the ifugao rice but I think the choice he made was right. Price : P335.

Vanilla Ice cream top w/ Peanut butter and turones
Using Carabao milk for their Vanilla Ice Cream and the turon also has peanut butter inside  My grand daughter did not like the peanut butter on top of her ice cream so I made it as an added dip to the turon. Price : P165

Below is the little pail they use to put your bill and you in turn put your payment inside.

At the end after sharing the meal with my daughter and grand daughter I don't think I was full that I can still feel the hunger pang; maybe a wrong choice of food order.  But overall the ambiance their was great and great for those who want to dine in a bit of native inspire elegance.

Salido Unlimited dimsum offer at a buying site (disappointing)

When I heard about Salido unlimited dimsum offer love to try it since I was disappointed with another chinese restaurant at Robinson Place Manila who also offer unlimited dimsum but at the end told their client that they run out of stock which was then around 11am. Below is the frontage of Salido at Ongpin St.,

Above and below are the interior at the 2nd floor they also have a 3rd who also want to have a party with karaoke

Below are the shark fin and siomai from the dimsum cart.

Below is the chicken feet and the spareribs with tausi which did not came out again.

Red Ice tea w/ lemon slice

Hakaw and pork wrap in tofu wrapper

When Salido just want to rush thing they put it in a plate which incidentally came out of the kitchen but was not hot. So slicing the tofu skin became difficult. It's either the chef has left it sitting for a long time; since we have been waiting for their other dimsum to come out for almost 15 minutes

Again the sharkfin dumpling and  siomai also came out cold from the kitchen

Mango Sago
Puree Mango and small sago pearl in crush ice. Great.

Maybe the staff were watching the video shoot from what I heard is from PTV 4. They interview the owner and some of their regular client. Their producer came to me inquire if I like to be interview but told him that this is my first time at Salido and would not like to bent my complain on the show so I say no.

At the end there was not much dimsum to choose from after what came out of the kitchen nothing follow suit.  And I think those offering cheap unlimted dimsum are much wiser than the buyer and this is my 2nd disappointment; but cannot say anything about the Big Hotel offer of Unlimited Dimsum since I have not yet tried it.

Cafe France Buy 1 Take 1

Cafe France 2nd year of Buy 1 Take 1 for the month of January

1st Week of January I was at Metropolitan Medical Center and the line at Cafe France was too long so did not buy anything. On the 2nd week of January since I have important things to do in Binondo make stop over at Cafe France Ongpin and it was really crowded inside.

Below are the tuna pie and the coffee Bun. I was able to get a bite of the Tuna pie on a regular day but it was not that thin maybe they were stuff to tight together or there was really a few stuffing inside. Since at P65 on a regular day and buy 1 take 1 on Friday how can you complain

Below are some of the bread available for buy 1 take a

Above their vegetarian and Hawaian pizza at P115 regular price since it's Buy 1 Take 1 it's much cheaper but in my opinion there was not much topping in it.

Below is what I brought including the whole Wheat bread at P120 (regular or buy 1 take 1)

Below is a short video of the breads available for their Buy 1 Take 1 promo. The Fruit cake is also included in the promo
