You guys know how much I looove groupons and online deals. However, I got gazillion vouchers and gift certificates which are expiring, and I couldn't find time to use them (now, that's a lesson learned). You wouldn't want to know how many gift certificates and vouchers had expired on me last December.

Now, I am giving away Php3,950 worth of Non Surgical Facelift from Senova Spa. The voucher is good until March 10 - and I will not be able to use it because Ruthilicious scheduled to leave the country.

Confezioni Dolci bake goods

              This is my winning from Confezioni Dolci 3 muffin which was place in a cute paper bag and a chocolate loaf

      This is the letter send with the bake goodies with it's description and recommendation. Now that really great at least I know what I am eating and what it is call.

      The blueberry coffee muffin which they actually used real blueberry and not the preserve one as you will notice by the shape and some of it will shrunk and leave a hole in it.The taste is just right not too sweet and the coffee is not too strong as you will not notice it if not for the notes that comes with it.

     The chocolate loaf not too heavy as some might think. Most chocolate cake when you eat will immediately feel full.  And they even have a recommendation for this better with coffee and ice cream. But to take a slice of the chocolate loaf if just right and not heavy to the stomach highly recommend their product. The top of the loaf look like they pour some sugar syrup in it but it doesn't taste too sweet.

Buffalo Wild Wings (Panay Avenue, Quezon City

        The Menu of Buffalo Wild wing.  We were there for their promo from Cash Cash Pinoy of Unlimited Buffalo Wings. The menu for the Buffalo wings are name after firecracker Piccolo, 5 star, Super Lolo and the Hottest Goodbye Philippines. Really making it a local fare.

         This is how they serve their utensil for their guest the same basket they serve for their chicken wings.

     This is there serving of their unlimited buffalo wings and rice you can also order without the rice. There could have been no complaint but most of the guest said is there serving rule is weird. They will serving always 2 pieces of chicken wing every time a guest request for refill, that mean replacement in their paper, the effort of the server. My son did inquire if possible to bring the order for 1/2 pound but the advice of the server is that the order of management is always 2 chicken wing per refill. How many paper trash will they produce? The water to clean the bottom of the basket and the paper tower to wipe it dry; one of my son has 8 order and the other 7 and it was also pack on that day with some middle eastern guest their eating the hottest wings.

     Don't know if management did count the earning they will get if they minimize this waste or should they have made it buffet style?

My own version of Steam fish

 Above is my own version of restaurant style steam Lapu lapu but I prefer to use Cream dory as there is no fishy smell in it and it cook faster. The indgredients you need are below:

      The Magic sarap (Yellow packing)  is for rubbing the fish all over instead of salt. For those abroad you can use chicken powder. After rubbing, at a few slices of ginger and leek on top and on the bottom of the fish.  If you're using whole fish make sure to insert some slice of ginger and leek at the mouth of the fish to remove fishy smell. Steam as shown below. While waiting for it to cook start slicing or julienne the leeks and ginger into thin slices some restaurant add also some cilantro leaves.

     To know if your fish is cook press with your finger; if it's not that soft then it's cook and the fish will turn white. After steaming  you will see a clear liquid in it, place it on another cooking pot then add a few dash of Light soy sauce and Sesame oil (for the smell therefore don't add too much). Adjust to your taste by adding more soy sauce.I prefer to use the Lee Kum Kee Soy Sauce because it has a bit of sweetness to it. If you think you like to have more sauce on your fish add a little water also adjust to your taste. Throw away the slices of ginger and leek and replace them with the julienne ginger and leeks  (can add a few cilantro leaf also) on top of the fish.

        When the sauce started to boil immediately pour on top of the fish with the julienne herbs so that the fragrance of the herbs will be release. Enjoy as my kids loves it.

My winning Tous Les Jours Cake

      This is Tous Les Jours a Korean bakery opening it store in the Philippines. This branch is at the G/F of SM North Edsa. really nice and so abundant with bread in every corner of the store.

      Upon entering the store I also notice that there's bread above not sure if the bread above is real or fake but you can be sure that the bakers are really busy in doing their job.

      The picture above and below will prove that the bread from Tous Les Jours are really unique and cannot be found in other bread shop here either local or international company


      As you will notice the design of their cake (Above and below) are really unique and are thoroughly thought of. And also really nice to look at and you will surely feel sorry if you destroy the cake. Therefore it's much better to take a picture of the cake you brought before eating so as you have a memory of the cake


      This is the packing of Tous Les Jours cake really nice therefore you can order your cake in advance and cake check it without opening the box just by peeking it on top. I was there during the Christmas season and heard people making advance order and pick it up later because there was a long line of people paying and ordering their cakes.

     This is the cake I won from Tous Les Jours isn't it lovely just right for Christmas season. The Light mocha round thing on the side you will think is nut but it isn't. It's actually is mocha icing that was harden and shape to look like rocks. Even the Tous Les Jours sign and snowman is edible. I don't know if the wreath is edible because when I was to make another slice of the cake the decoration were all gone.

     This is how the Tous Les Jours cake look inside. The outside is not a ganache but a thin layer of harden chocolate. If you were able to buy the Hershey Shell which we usually pour on our ice cream to form a hard shell this is what it look like. Chocolate sponge cake with mocha icing in between and outside then cover with chocolate candy. Delicious.  Hope to buy some more of their beautiful cake but hope they can make a branch near Manila.

My pasalubong from my sister in law and brother from Canada

      The nephew just came back from Canada and brought with him this 3 delicious and healthy product. The Kirland Dry Roast Macadamia nut, The Brookside Chocolate and the chicken breast fillet.

      The Kirkland Roasted Macadamia nut with Sea Salt and bit salty actually but if you brush off the salt the nut are really sweet. Don't have to worry about the water retention if you brush off the salt. The first impression for this product is like our local Nagaray nuts since never seen an actual Macadamia nut. If there is available it stuff inside a chocolate.

     This Brookside Chocolate with Acai and blueberry really yummy. Upon opening the content you can really immediately smell the blueberry as you can see there is actually a blue berry in the middle and chocolate even look likes blueberry. Don't know what is an Acai berry really as the taste are the same.

     For the chicken fillet just like your regular tuna in water since the product from I think Magnolia chicken in can is not available in the market already.

Viking Lazy Breakfast promo

      Viking gave their client a promo for Jan. 14- 29 and Feb. 4 & 5 (Saturday and Sunday Only)  a promo of less 10% discount plus additional 5% discount if you like their facebook for the Lazy breakfast, which my family avail of the promo thus from P688 the discounted amounted to almost P520.00.

      Actually no need to make reservation as people slept late during friday thus very few people are availing of the promo.

      Lushious and spacious interior like your eating in a 5 star Hotel; no need to crowd during lunch and dinner.

           One of their coffee machine. The red arrow said to push the buttom so that the coffee will drip. There also the soft drink, juices and beer station. I think a drank almost around 3-4 cups of coffee.

                         The different bread: ciabatta, sour dough, pandesal etc.

   For some unknow reason some of the picture taken from the camera did not show up maybe have to post it next time. But if you're a great eater there are also some steam shrimp, dimsum station, the congee station (choice of plain or flavor with your different topping, the salad station with your choice of dressing and veggies. There also the dessert station with different cakes and local kakanin even a taho is available there
