Rustan's product sampling August 20,2011

     Since Rustan products are high end and costly it's nice to know that they do give sample for prospective client try. Therefore if you are are on a semi retirement or has nothing to do at home why not try facebook maybe you be able to get some of this loot for free. Since the kids have their own barkada or family the 40's and up doesn't have to be stuck at home doing nothing 24/7; start bonding with your old friends or family. Maybe at the end you will have some fun too.

Philip Avent Mom and Me Event

      A nice event sponsor by Philip Avent at Rustan Makati on August 20,2011. If those have not attend this event should try to take part of their next event at Alabang Town Center on August 27,2011 as both Keynote Speaker are not boring. Dr. Christopher Soriano talk about the stages of pregnancy and what to prepare during delivery.  He even jokes about husband forgot to check their camera during delivery (overload memory or empty battery).

       While Ms. Abbie Yabot talk about what should you prepare when the child is born the bonding and how to choose your pediatrician. Even show video of a baby after delivery and the bonding of mother and Child. Ms. Abbie also talk about how to handle older kids that is about to be a bigger brother or sister to the coming of the new born.

     Both Keynote speaker stress that when the baby is about the be due don't forget the necessary document like Philhealth and SSS and the form should already be filled out for the doctor to sign immediately so that during Holiday or Sunday you will not be stuck in the Hospital.

      This product is nice for toddler as it blends and steam your baby's food. (I have read the manual given at the end of the events.

    The first two upper layer are the raffle prize and the grand prize is the automatic breast pump which they say cost P6k. The Aranaz Bag and the sunnex bottle.  While the orange bag are given to all who attend the event win or lose. Happy to say many pregnant mother won the beautiful prizes.

      This are the items found inside the Philip Avent Bag 2 brochure 1 is the brochure of Philip Avent and the other the Aprica brochure. The Aprica brochue contain the different stroller, car seat and baby product for parent commuting with their babies.

     The Philip Avent cup that is stackable as you can see  on the picture it did not drop and base on their catalouge this product is attach to the manual breast pump that after pumping the milk you can label it store and then replace the cap with the nipple cap.  All very convenient no need of transferring the milk

     Since some of the parents bring along some kids there were snack given to all the guest.

     There for the new moms to be and those with 2nd child on the way I highly recommend you attend this events to get more information.  This event mostly talk about breatfeeding.

Formosa Bakeshop

 Formosa Bakery Located at the Lobby of Mandarin Square in Ongpin St., but they also have a branch in Banawe, Quezon City. As the name imply this are base on Taiwanese bake goods.

      At the end I brought this cute Coffee Jelly  top with Whip cream and sliver of almond. Really yummy.

   There are many cute cake  on display but because they are place on a higher portion of the rack I cannot get a good picture of it.

World Food Expo exhibit Aug. 3-6 (World Trade and SMX)

 This lovely cake display from the Gourdo Booth. Really beautiful

  This group display the racks for cupcake and their cupcake mold are made of silicon.  Many bakers are using silicon because of their non-stick property.

Below they show case their different kind of mold use in presenting cakes and pastries using plastic container.

Below are the international display. For the Korean booth I was able to buy Crispy Nori (snack version). For a pack of 3 small cut up it cost P35.00 so I brought 3 bag for P100.00 really yummy, just like I remember on my first trip to Korea were we pass by a store making Nori which is just hot off the rack.

 Taiwan Mochi which cost P70.00/ pack and was told that it's not available locally; hope Eng Bee tin can copy some of the flavor mochi. No free sample tasting so I do not know if it's delicious.  My nephew who just came back from his studies in China brought a flavor Mochi that my husband doesn't like the taste but for me it just right because it's not that sweet.

                             Not much display on the Malaysian side.

 The U.S.A poultry booth with a display of a US turkey, they are also selling frozen turkey and chicken there.

 The US BBQ Chicken and the US Hawaii Chicken looks really yummy but they don't give free tasting.

Last year 2010 World Food Expo there are only few International company directly joining the exhibit, most of them are their local counterpart who are much better in their marketing strategy as they give free sample to consumer so that at least we know that the food they are selling is delicious.

The Mark and Spencer Frozen Food

 This are the 3 items I exchange at Mark and Spencer with an additional payment of P250.00

 The Mandarin Cheesecake really delicious with pieces of Mandarin orange on top on a 7" pie crust.

 The Chicken Kiev delicious but unhealthy for a diet conscious person, because when you cut the chicken fillet in half all the butter inside comes oozing out thus making the bottom part of the chicken too oily. The food worth the prize money.

 The Shepard's Pie: the lamb meat is too grounded that it's almost like a pate not a single vegetable can be found. At first bite not bad when still hot but when it's started to cool not sure it's not quite good. At the end my son used it as a spread in his bread including the mash potato.

World Food Expo exhibit (table setting) Aug. 3-6,2011

 At the SMX part of the World Food Expo exhibit you will surely loves the table setting all so nostagic. The above photo make you feel the you are in a masquerade ball really beautiful.

 This table setting is so beautiful if set as center piece for wedding will the guest fight for the parasol? As most centerpiece in wedding are by cart off by guest. Many people took a picture of themselves sitting on some of the beautiful table setting also

 This center piece is made of crystal beads therefore not quite that shiny but how much will it cost if the beads were made from Swarovski crystal? Really gliterring

This center piece made for Sponsors look really marvelous makes you feel on an island or beach. Now we can say that the Filipino are imaginative to create those lovely table setting
